Case study / SeasonCycles
Three choices to regain the thread of analysis.
More than a year of work to bring data, calculations and charts into one interface, so the professional no longer had to chase information.

01 / The context
Before the interface, there were the steps
When I meet Marco Doni, his analysis workflow spans five to seven tools, web pages and spreadsheets: copying data, comparing charts, performing calculations and checking results. The project starts with the need to bring that journey together.
In our initial meetings we clarify the operational workflow and the information needed at each point. Time is only part of the problem: constant switching requires concentration and creates opportunities for error.
02 / The project

Ticker, period, week
The journey centres on three choices: the ticker, the historical range and the week of interest. After these selections, the charts and data needed for analysis are available in the same workspace.
The platform supports comparisons across different historical ranges, up to twenty years where data is available. The three steps reduce the work needed to reach the information.
- 01TickerThe stock to analyse
- 02Historical windowThe reference years
- 03WeekThe period of interest
03 / The project

One view that adapts
The interface adapts its layout to the user’s choices: week panels become more compact, charts and tables gain space, and ticker information remains in sight.
Continuity is central. Professionals retain the context of their analysis without rebuilding it as they switch windows. Secondary information stays available without taking space away from the main task.

04 / The project
Speed is prepared behind the scenes
The project brings together process analysis, calculation design, data organisation and product development. As project manager I oversee the roadmap, requirements and priorities, coordinating the team.
The system precomputes historical data results, so the user’s computer does not have to repeat every calculation during consultation. Backend and interface are separate, with an architecture designed to support different modes of access.
05 / The project

The product starts before sign-in
The presentation website makes the platform understandable before visitors open it: explaining who it is for, showing the analysis journey and guiding people towards a software trial and training.
Benefits, screenshots and workflow explanations connect communication with the product. The website and interface address the same need: helping people understand what they can do and what comes next.
06 / The project
The scale of the data
The project version presented here comprises 3,457 tickers, 8,169,099 source data points and 1,136,563 calculations, with up to twenty years of history. These are the project’s reference figures: a measure of the scale the interface makes accessible.
Behind a simple selection lie data organisation, precomputed results and interface decisions. Complexity is resolved within the project to make everyday use easier.
07 / The value
Attention returns to analysis
In the professional workflow that shapes the project, analysis goes from hours to minutes. Charts, data and selections in one workspace reduce fragmentation.
The result concerns the analysis process and the time it takes. Financial decisions remain with the professional. The tool makes information clearer and more continuous, leaving room for thought.
What I bring to the next project
The simplicity a person sees on screen comes from work the project has already resolved for them.
